Yep. I'm in love with this place. I've been wanting to come here for a looooooong time so I've been hyping it up in my head...very dangerous to do! This place did not disappoint!

Prices are amazing and you can just as easily come in for some simply fro yo or splurge like we did and grab the Muggles. I really recommend at least one visit in your life: get a muggle! Will be coming back for years to come!

Awesome Ive cream and great ideas for the muggle shakes. The place was so dirty though. Dirty floors, menus, tables but most of all a filthy bathroom. No soap. The employees were so nice which made me feel better.

This place reminded me of a place in Nashville TN, but i liked this place even more because it's made with yogurt not icecream so you don't feel too heavy afterwards  (if that's even possible) I'm sure they'll have a flavor you'll like come check it out! It was great!

I had been here once about 2 years ago, and it was fine, just what you expect from a frozen yogurt place. This was before they had muggle shakes, and before I was on Yelp.

A muggle shake pic popped up on my feed this weekend and I decided I *had* to have that for my birthday dessert!

Due to work schedules, we celebrate the weekend before, so we came in Sunday around 5pm. When we entered, we were the only customers and there was one employee.

He immediately asked if we were there for the muggles and directed us to one side of the menu for the flavors. They also have pictures on a screen and the ability to choose 3 toppings to make your own.

I was pretty torn, 3 of these are absolutely my jam, how was I going to make a choice?? I started grilling him on the flavors because I couldn't decide between smores, pretzels or Oreos, lol!  Unfortunately, he didn't have any personal insight to share. He has chosen to not try any, as that is more dishes to wash. After seeing a muggle up close, I can't really fault that logic.

I finally decided to go with the Campfire because it seemed like a chocolate, marshmallow, graham cracker kind of day!

My husband went with the tried and true: a cup. This is the best value in the store at 49 cents per ounce. They have 6 pumps, with 3 flavors each and then an array of toppings. The nuts and candy looked good, but the fruit looked like it had been sitting for a while.

I'm not sure of the exact total since I didn't get a receipt, but it was right over $10. As I was paying, I saw a counter sign advertising the Unicorn muggle. I asked what that was, but was only told it was a whole lot of sugar.

About the time we were paying, other people started wandering in and I got to see just how much work goes into making a muggle. I felt bad since nothing seemed to be going smoothly- the torch went out every 2 seconds, the whipped cream nozzle got stuck, etc.

I had to wait about 10 minutes, but this included him having to stop and ring up other customers. No big deal, but while I was waiting, I saw on the other side of the menu was an option for a mini muggle sampler for $10.99. It included the 3 flavors I had such a hard time deciding on and the flavor of the month.

I was kind of bummed that this wasn't offered since I had asked so many questions and he saw me wrestle with the final decision. Though in retrospect, I can't imagine how long it must take them to make the sampler and he clearly didn't want to deal with that. As it started to get crowded, it really seemed to be a struggle and I felt guilty for ordering it.

When the muggle was ready, I could barely believe this beast in front of me. This thing was ridiculous and impossible to eat without making a huge mess of everything! These are definitely more picture worthy than functional, so plan on eating it there!

I wouldn't take one of these to go, as you would effectively be overpaying for a milkshake and they couldn't get all those toppings in there. These are super filling and large, I recommend sharing.

I gave it everything I had... but I didn't even make it half way through, and then I couldn't eat the rest of the day! :) At this point, I was glad I didn't go with the sampler, I wouldn't have made a dent!

The smores ice cream was okay, but pretty light on the flavor. It made me wonder if I had chosen right for all the hoopla. The toppings were pretty good though! I wish my chocolate bar had melted a little more, but I really enjoyed the graham crackers and the toasted marshmallows were awesome! It would be fantastic if some of those graham crackers were crushed up and mixed into the actual shake for a yummy texture contrast.

So here's the question, was the muggle worth the $6.99? Not really. It was a nice, sugary treat, but it was all in the presentation, not in the taste. But hey- just because things are over hyped and overpriced doesn't mean I can't still enjoy it!

I mean, only evil people can't enjoy an absolutely insane looking dessert consisting of graham crackers, chocolate, marshmallows and frozen yogurt... right??? Right!

I still had a good time battling my muggle to get to all the goodies, even if the muggle won in the end. At least I didn't have to do those dishes (toasted marshmallow is a real bitch to clean). Shortly before we left, another employee came in. This was great because there were about 10 customers in the store at this time.

Only other note is that the bathroom was completely trashed. Soap and towels strewn about, overflowing trash, dirty mirrors- bit of a turn off.

So overall, I think this place has the ability to be pricey. I don't really think a cone is worth $5.49. However, a lot of labor goes into making these concoctions and you have to respect that!

The real value here is building your own cup with your preferred flavors and toppings. This place is A-OK! I won't be back often, but I'll come by occasionally to indulge!

I really love the Muggle Shakes. They're delicious, fun, and the perfect instagram photo treat
I also like that you can get just plain old yogurt in a cup with whatever toppings you want.
The only downside is that it's on the other side of Denton from where I live, but I willingly drive when I'm in a lots of sugar, cool down treat mood. Good stop for the Texas summers.
